So, you’re on the boat—now what? Well, don’t expect to kick back in your room just yet. You see, they won’t be ready until after 1 pm, and your luggage? That won’t make it to your room until around 3 pm. But before the real party kicks off, there’s one important thing we’ve got to take care of: MUSTER!
Now, muster might not sound like the most exciting thing, but trust me, it’s crucial. You’ve got to know where to go in case of an emergency. You can find your designated muster station on the app or your set sail pass. And hey, if you haven’t already, now’s a good time to download the Royal Caribbean app. There’s a safety video you’ll need to watch on there before you check into your muster. (We watched it the morning of our cruise before heading to the boat).
Once muster’s out of the way, it’s time to get this party started! And for us, that means one thing: hitting up The Windjammer, the buffet paradise. On embarkation day, The Windjammer opens its doors at 11:15. After filling our plates with delicious food, we like to scope out all the activities and shows the ship has in store for us during our sailing and add them to the calendar in the Royal Caribbean app.
After lunch, it’s prime time for some ship exploration. Check out all the cool activities on offer and find that perfect spot to watch the ship sail away. Keep an eye out for welcome aboard raffles and info sessions—you can find all this juicy info on the Royal Caribbean app.
And while you’re waiting for your room to be ready, why not enjoy a dip in the pool or a soak in the hot tub? That’s why we always recommend packing your swim gear in your carry-on. There won’t be an official announcement when your room’s ready, usually around 1 pm, so you’ll just have to go check for yourself. You’ll know it’s ready when your Seapass card is stuck next to your room number. That little number becomes your cruise mailbox—any updates or communications will be waiting for you there.
Excursion tickets? They’ll be waiting for you in your stateroom.
As for your luggage, don’t expect it to magically appear in your room. It’ll be left outside your stateroom, usually after 3 pm. So kick back, relax, and enjoy the start of your cruise adventure!
